Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Stey ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

What Stey Does

Stey is a personal memory preservation app that allows you to:

→ Record voice memories and have them transcribed
→ Organize and categorize your memories using on-device AI
→ Export your data for personal use

All processing happens locally on your device. We do not have access to your content.

Your Content

You own everything you create. Stey does not claim any ownership or rights to your voice recordings, transcriptions, memories, or any other content you create using the App.

Your content stays on your device. We cannot access, view, or use your content in any way.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

✕ Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
✕ Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
✕ Use the App for any illegal purpose
✕ Redistribute or resell the App

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

○ The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
○ Transcriptions will be 100% accurate
○ The App will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

Data Loss

Because your data is stored locally on your device:

→ We cannot recover your data if you delete the App
→ We cannot recover your data if your device is lost or damaged
→ Regular backups using the App's export feature are your responsibility

App Updates

We may update the App from time to time. These updates may include new features, bug fixes, or security improvements. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of any new terms.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Upon deletion, all locally stored data will be permanently removed.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Stey operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
